No, No, No (future without history)

No, No, No

Destiny’s Child
No, No, No

To further continue the point I made yesterday, I would like to repeat that without Barry White or The Love Unlimited Orchestra there would be no Destiny’s Child as we know. ‘No, No, No‘ was mainly written by Lady Gaga’s ex boyfriend Rob Fusari. Tamar Braxton’s  husband Vincent Herbert also produced the original 1997 version of the song which did pretty well on the slow down charts.

It was Wyclef Jean who produced and rapped on the ‘No, No, No‘ 1998 remix which sampled The Love Unlimited Orchestra’s ‘Strange Games and Things‘ which I have posted the video below; have a listen and see if you can spot the sample which launched Beyonce’s career.

Just in case you do not understand which part of this song is used in the ‘No, No, No’ remix I have posted the ‘No, No, No’ 1998 remix below so that you can identify the ‘Strange Games and Things’ sample yourself.

Destinys Child were not the only R&B girl group to sample ‘Strange Games and Things’, R&B girl group 702 sampled it before Destiny’s Child  for their 1996 track ‘Get Down Like That‘ produced my Missy Elliott. In fact I believe Barry White’s music has always and will always be sampled for R&B tracks worldwide. I will leave you with the 702 sample below, enjoy!
