Love Unlimited – If You Want Me, Say It

‘If You Want Me, Say It‘ is one of the best R&B songs ever! The Love Unlimited Orchestra are a blessing and the corner stone of R&B! The vocals and harmonies are inspirational, sophisticated and timeless. This track was produced by the genius The Late Great Barry White RIP!

The trumpets, strings and base guitar make you fall in love with the message of this song. Never will we ever be graced with a combination of talent or original ideas which where around in 1979. Please listen and enjoy. Your comments on this track and old school R&B will also be appreciated, in the comments section.

No, No, No (future without history)

No, No, No

Destiny’s Child
No, No, No

To further continue the point I made yesterday, I would like to repeat that without Barry White or The Love Unlimited Orchestra there would be no Destiny’s Child as we know. ‘No, No, No‘ was mainly written by Lady Gaga’s ex boyfriend Rob Fusari. Tamar Braxton’s  husband Vincent Herbert also produced the original 1997 version of the song which did pretty well on the slow down charts.

Love Unlimited – Walking in The Rain With The One I Love

This is an oldie but goodie, who can believe that this track is over 40 years old? They definitely do not make songs like this anymore! And if your wondering who the guy on the telephone was, yes it was The Late Great Barry White talking to his wifey and lead singer of Love Unlimited Glodean James.

Iration Steppas – Mistikal Warrior

Yesterday Dennis Rootical told me about his group the ‘Iration Steppas’. As I woke up this morning I thought I’d give the track ‘Mistikal Warrior‘ a listen.

All I can say is, this is the perfect tune to help me start the day. No words just a great dub vibe to get me bubbling away. I am now getting ready for the long day ahead without not bad vibes!

Have a listen and leave your thoughts in the comments section.

‘Rise Up’ – ‘Epic’ The Movie Theme Song (Review)

I have posted Beyonce’s new single ‘Rise Up‘ from the resent animation movie Epic which she also co-stars in.

This emotional and inspirational ballad encourages young people everywhere to have the inner confidence to be who they are. The words also relate to older people who try to be good role models to the younger people around them. ‘Rise Up‘ sounds like it should be included on Beyonce’s yet to be titled upcoming album.
